Key Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems and components.
Employ finite element analysis (FEA) skills to effectively engineer and optimise structures under various conditions.
Develop and implement weight-saving strategies in balance with the integrity and performance requirements of products.
Design innovative mechanisms for a variety of applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient integration of mechanical designs whilst meeting overall system requirements.
Continuously research and apply knowledge of the latest design optimisation techniques, materials and manufacturing technologies.
Evaluate, select and specify 3rd party components suitable for projects.
The successful perspn may come from a diverse range of backgrounds from motorsport, automotive, marine or similar but the role is crucial in ensuring the development of innovative and effective mechanical solutions.
