Marine Resources are recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Marine Engineer on behalf of our client based in Largs, North Ayrshire.
This is a full time permanent position.
Based on The Clyde, our client offer a wide range of services for boat owners from fixing small problems to completing major projects. They have established an enviable reputation for service that surpassestheir competitors. Due to exceptional periods of growth, they now require a Marine Engineer on a full time permanent basis.
As an individual you will be experienced within the leisure marine industry with good knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
Duties include:
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on a variety of leisure marine engines, drive systems, and other boat systems including electronic systems
• Diesel and petrol engine servicing, covering both inboard and outboard engines
• Outboard and inboard engine installation
• Installation and maintenance of boat systems including propulsion, steering, generators, inverters and other ancillary equipment
• Fluid system maintenance covering fuel, hydraulic, and water mediums
• Low voltage electronics installation including chartplotter, VHF radio, and autopilot systems. Also the upgrading, and fault diagnosis and resolution of such systems
• Providing accurate time estimates, spares requirements, and completing engineer’s reports as required
Working hours are 8am-5pm in the summer months and 8am-4.30pm during the winter. Overtime is available at time and a half.
