A prominent leader in the design and manufacture of ribs and tenders is seeking a seasoned Composite Expert/Head of Production to join their company at a pivotal point in their growth and expansion.
This is a unique opportunity. The company is at a significant growth and expansion stage, focusing on integrating composite materials into their manufacturing process. Your expertise and knowledge will be pivotal to this expansion.
You’ll be their resident expert on all things composite, driving innovation in material use and production techniques. This is a hands-on management position where you’ll guide both processes and people, ensuring the highest standards in boat construction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the on-site expert for composite materials and processes.
• Advise on material selection and optimal processes for boat building.
• Oversee quality control to ensure the highest standards are met.
• Actively participate in the hands-on construction of composite boats.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience with wet lay GRP and infusion laminating.
• Proven experience within leading projects focused on fibreglass boatbuilding
• Strong background in fibregass boat building.
• High-volume production experience is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of materials, processes, and quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
This is a very exciting project to be involved in, as you will be fundamental in developing their position in the composite world. The role is based within Europe and Asia.
