The not-for-profit ASC Portsmouth (along with our growing network of other centres) is the delivery mechanism of the Andrew Simpson Foundations charitable aims, delivering its community programmes alongside a full commercial watersports activity programme.
The centre teaches a wide range of RYA dinghy sailing, windsurfing and British Canoeing courses as well as a variety of landbased activities. We are a professional, high energy centre, hosting many school groups, youth groups, individuals, adults and children through a long season.
We are looking for a strong leader whose responsibilities start with managing the on-the-water sessions to ensure the delivery of top-class tuition. Alongside this, you will be responsible for managing the team of seasonal instructors, giving regular appraisals and constantly helping them to develop personally and to maintain our high standards.
The applicant must have previous experience in managing the day to day running of a busy centre.

* Managing on-water sessions
* Staff development
* Staff rotas
* Managing and maintaining the wide range of equipment
* Maintaining our high standards of customer service
Personal Qualities:
* Welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic
* Excellent communication skills with group leaders, students and staff
* Organised and punctual
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to problem solve
* Self-motivated
* Adaptable
Qualifications:
* RYA Senior Instructor
* RYA Windsurf Instructor or above
* RYA Powerboat Instructor
* British Canoeing Paddlesports Instructor
Desirable:
* RYA Coach Assessor
* RYA Advanced Instructor
* Qualifications or experienced in landbased activities such as high ropes and archery
