Shipyard Operative – Portsmouth, Portchester
Salary £25,000 – With some overtime availability
Monday to Friday
Location – Portchester
25 days holiday + your Birthday off!
The position of Shipyard Operative has become available at Portsmouth, Portchester newly acquired site.
Working as part of a small hardworking team this multi-facetted role will include, but is not limited to, equipment maintenance, operating and handling equipment to safely dock, undock, a range of ships and vessels, forklift operations and other tasks as required.
This role includes working outdoors in all weathers and includes working some weekends and bank holidays as required to meet tides times and customers schedules.
Previous experience of operating plant equipment or forklifts is beneficial as well as boat handling skills would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given. In all cases we will support you to grow your skills and assist you to reach your potential.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
A full UK driving licence is essential.
