Clipper Round the World Yacht Race chooses Marine Resources to advertise
The famous Clipper Round the World Yacht Race has once again chosen Marine Resources to help source its skippers for the 2015-16 edition of the bi-annual event.
The Clipper Race is the world’s longest ocean race and the ultimate sailing challenge. Twelve identical ocean yachts will complete in the 40,000 mile course which takes almost a year to complete, crossing six continents in 16 individually scored races.
The Clipper Race is looking for twelve outstanding skippers with RYA or IYT ocean qualifications, a solid background of sailing experience and an ability to demonstrate strong leadership abilities under pressure.
The skippers will be responsible for safely guiding their amateur crew around the world on board the Clipper 70 Ocean racing yachts.
The first edition of the Clipper Race took part in Plymouth, October 1996, and is still going strong as it approaches its tenth anniversary edition, the 2015-16 race, which is due to start next summer.
