JOB LOCATION Beijing, China JOB TITLE Watersports instructor JOB REF MR-INST-101555 JOB DESCRIPTION Here is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated watersports instructors to join China's premier Sailing Centre. You will enjoy travel to the Far East, learn Chinese and experience working in a country where watersports is in its infancy as part of a small team working to increase participation in a range of watersports within northern China. China has for 5000 years been cut off from the West and consequently you will find that everything is different here even the simplest things like the way to open a banana (they consider the stalk to be a handle and open from the other end). If you want to come here then come with an open mind, explore and discover these intrinsic cultural differences. It will be completely different to anything you may expect and is full of interesting experiences. We are the only sailing school in China offering courses to suit anyone following the RYA/BCU guidelines. Situated at 11th Aquatic Centre of Asian Games, we offer a variety of watersports at a level to suit all customers. We are recruiting seasonal and full time instructors to start in April 2010. The skills that we seek are dinghy sailing, yachting, kayaking, windsurfing and raft building. Our summer season runs from May to October, while during the winter season we go yachting, yacht racing and provide shorebased theory. Applications from multi-activity instructors will be more successful, especially with regard to year-round positions. Our package includes return flights, visas, accommodation, catering and Chinese lessons. As we are a young and developing business there are going to be times when we are busy and times when we are quieter. This allows you time-off for travel and sightseeing, while you will need to flexible and be able to turn your hand to a variety of tasks. Below is the job description for the positions available.
