JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a specialist Superyacht management company offering the highest quality of owner support in all aspects of Superyacht new build, operational management, refit and consultancy. The company is growing steadily and needs a Project Manager to take over the refit operations and grow the business in this rapidly expanding refit centre.

Reporting to the Managing Partner and as a key member of a small core team you will be responsible for directly managing a number of refit projects simultaneously with appropriate support, and for developing and growing the refit business. Projects are likely to encompass all aspects of engineering; mechanical. electrical, electronic, hydraulic and the yachts employ comprehensive services; power generation, desalination, air conditioning and piped services, navigation and communication equipment. In addition Superyachts are furnished with superlative quality furniture, fixtures and fittings, with high quality woods, furnishings and materials. The refits involve intricate planning and diplomacy and require the management of a complexity of specifications, trades and sub-contractors under time pressures.

You should be professionally qualified with wide ranging experience and a proven track record in managing large and small scale, complex and intricate, mostly engineering, projects for demanding clients with very high standards - quality is paramount. Accustomed to run simultaneous projects you must be self-reliant and motivated and able to plan, organise and subcontract work as well as projecting the company in the quest for growth. The successful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal skills allowing them to relate professionally and sensitively to owner's, captains and crew as well as contractors and dock personnel. Computer literacy and financial competence are required and a good working knowledge of English and Spanish are essential.

Candidates with a proven track record of Superyacht refits would be preferred. However suitably qualified and experienced candidates in the field of project management in the manufacturing and processing industries are encouraged to apply.


SALARY

For discussion from EUR65,000 plus bonus depending on experience
