Golden Arrow Marine is a specialist marine power and systems supplier and is part of the growing Salterns Marina Ltd group, as a result of staff progression within the group we have a vacancy for a Service Manager. We are UK distributors for Lombardini Marine, TRAC stabilisers and thrusters, and Maxwell windlasses. We are also main area dealers for MAN, Perkins Sabre, ZF Marine and Kohler. Based at Saxon Wharf, Southampton the Service Manager is responsible for the total day to day running of our busy workshop and currently 8 service engineers.
To be successful in this role you must have a desire to deliver excellent customer service at all times and able to work under pressure. Have good communication and personnel management skills and the ability to get engineers to deliver consistently high standards of work. Providing quotes and costing for jobs together with monitoring work in progress is a significant part of this role so engineering and workshop control experience is preferable. An understanding of business commerce and budget setting is required reporting to the Management board with engineer efficiency and sales figures. You must also be computer literate and a team player able to assist other members of the company when required with your experience and knowledge.
