JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is an internationally renowned and award winning company that specialise in the interior design, manufacture and fit out of luxury Superyachts and Megayachts around the world. With their main factory located in Dubai they also have a number of other factories, offices and ongoing current projects situated all over the globe making them a truly international leader in their field.

They are currently recruiting for a Project Manager with specific experience in interior fit out, focusing on the Super yacht sector.

You will be reporting to Senior Management, directly responsible for establishing and maintaining the Project matrix as follows:

• Develop and maintain the Project schedule.
  

• To request and distribute information in a timely manner and to ensure that full compliance to the contract is adhered.

• Work together with the Design Coordinator and provide all required information so they can complete necessary tasks.

• Check and submit for approval all material samples and specifications in accordance with the company policy and procedures.

• Manage and monitor all sub contractors

• To liaise with:

• Planning department in regards to all design, engineering, production, logistic and installation scheduling.
• Commercial department and in particular the assigned Quantity Surveyor for the project on all variations and subsequent cost implications.
• Procurement department on all technical issues pertaining to the project.
• Production department regarding any issues for the project.
• Project Coordinator regarding the project.
• Operations Manager on all aspects of the project.

• Prepare, monitor and track all PCOs (Proposed Change Orders) and COs (Change Orders) in accordance with the company's polices and procedures.

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for submittal to Senior Management and the client.

• Attend all designated meetings in house and on site with the client or nominated representative as well as with sub contractors and designers
  

• Implement and maintain an Occupational Health and Safety plan on site, complete with all the necessary documentation as per company policies and procedures.

• Set up and maintain a well structured site office.

• Manage on site Fit Out Supervisors.

• Coordinate the flow of information between sub contractors.

• Consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods

• Ensure that the company policy and procedures are maintained and implemented at all times. Whilst continuously seeking ways to improve, refine and modify procedures.

Necessary Attributes:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Architecture.

• Commercially oriented with 15 years of professional experience as a Project Manager in Interior fit-out of yachts, palaces or 5 star Hotels.

• Strong experience in project costing and scheduling, preparing responses to proposals.

• Should be highly flexible & adaptable and able to work effectively with multicultural workforce.

• Excellent analytical & communication skills.
