JOB LOCATION UAE JOB TITLE Production Manager JOB REF MR-MAN-EDT-BB-97919 JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is an internationally renowned and award winning company that specialise in the interior design, manufacture and fit out of luxury Superyachts and Megayachts around the world. With their main factory located in Dubai they also have a number of other factories, offices and ongoing current projects situated all over the globe making them a truly international leader in their field. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager with in depth knowledge of modern joinery manufacturing for Superyachts. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - To have an in depth knowledge of all aspects of modern joinery manufacturing and particularly for the Super Yacht and marine environment.
- To have in depth knowledge of all aspects of furniture construction, which includes but is not limited to; cabinets, furniture, wall paneling systems, doors, mouldings etc, pertaining to the Super Yacht and marine environment.
- To be fully conversant with all types of manual wood working machinery.
- To be computer literate and to be fully conversant with all types of wood working CNC machinery and their associated programs.
- To manage and instruct the assigned workforce in the undertaking of their allocated work to meet the defined time schedules and quality.
- To ensure and maintain full compliance to a specified contract and or scope of work.
- To monitor the manpower budget, planning of the allocated manpower loading, in accordance with the projects requirements.
- To work with the Project Manager in preparing and submit for consideration all material samples and specifications in accordance with the contract and company’s policies and procedures
- To monitor the Project Scope, ensuring that any on-site variation requests are reported and managed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
- To oversee any on-site production and installation, including the protection of installed items from damage
- To implement and maintain a Occupational Health and Safety plan when on site, complete with all the necessary documentation as per company policies and procedures.
- To be responsible for the maintenance and recording of the project correspondence.
- To liaise with the Paint, Upholstery and Metal factory managers regarding the project.
- To liaise with the Planning, Procurement and Commercial departments regarding the project.
- To liaise with the Stores manager regarding incoming stock, stock levels and stock required for production.
- To liaise with the Logistics department regarding all issues pertaining to production and packaging for shipment.
- To advise, check and maintain adequate stock levels for production requirements.
- To attend weekly engineering and production meetings.
- To consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods
- To attend local trade fairs when requested.
- To advise on the selection and when required attend timber suppliers facilities for the pre purchase inspections of raw materials.
