JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is an internationally renowned and award winning company that specialise in the interior design, manufacture and fit out of luxury Superyachts and Megayachts around the world. With their main factory located in Dubai they also have a number of other factories, offices and ongoing current projects situated all over the globe making them a truly international leader in their field.

They are currently recruiting for experienced Paint Shop Manager with knowledge of all aspects of modern marine paints and lacquer systems The successful candidate will be responsible for following tasks.

  • To have a full knowledge of all aspects of modern paints and lacquer systems and their applications, particularly pertaining to the Super Yacht and marine environment.
  • To have full knowledge and experience in all aspects of furniture finishing, which includes but is not limited to the application of Polyesters, Urethanes, Enamels, Stains, Dyes and Polishing, on all surfaces including but not limited to Timber, Veneers and Metallic Finishes, pertaining to the Super Yacht and marine environment.
  • To be solely responsible for the correct application of all paint systems and for the accurate recording of that application, including but not limited to the stain formulas or mixtures, the paint system formulas or mixtures, heat and humidity control and recording.
  • To manage and instruct the assigned workforce in the undertaking of their allocated work to meet the defined time schedules and quality.
  • To ensure and maintain full compliance the specified contract.
  • To monitor the Manpower budget, planning of the allocated manpower loading, in accordance with the Projects requirements.
  • To work with the Project Manager in preparing and submit for consideration all material samples and specifications in accordance with the contract and company’s policies and procedures
  • To monitor the Project Scope, ensuring that any on-site variation requests are reported and managed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • To oversee any on-site production and installation, including the protection of installed items from damage
  • To implement and maintain a Occupational Health and Safety plan when on site, complete with all the necessary documentation as per company policies and procedures.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance and recording of the project correspondence. ·
  • To consistently keep abreast of market trends and painting methods.
