Sunseeker International are market-leaders within the luxury yacht sector in the UK, building their extensive range of motoryachts from their expansive shipyards in Poole and Portland. 

With an annual turnover that exceeds £250m, the company is in a hugely exciting position of growth and profitability, representing an exciting time to start (or indeed continue) your career within the marine sector. 

To build the number of craft they do, Sunseeker require a sizeable infrastructure of Supply Chain, Purchasing and Administration staff. As a result they are now seeking a Buyer to join the Procurement department. 

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the role of Buyer is key in order to maintain the inward flow of parts and materials, ensuring quality standards and speed of service are constantly met in line with brand expectations. 

Assigned your own categories within the Procurement department, you will be expected to work with a close team, meeting regularly to review and improve the service that you offer to other areas of the business. 

You'll definitely need a keen eye for detail, being a quick thinker who can be versatile in the face of delays, not seeing the problem but the solution. Problem solving will be your forte, negotiating deals and agreements that will benefit the company both in the short and the long term.

In terms of past experience, buying for a marine brand would be beneficial, or alternatively within a large manufacturing organisation. You'll either possess your Chartered certification, or be working towards it.
