Naval Architect – Compliance
Have you recently completed a Naval Architecture degree, or work in the sector, with a keen interest in the classification and compliance side of marine design?
A leading brand within the world of luxury yachts is seeking a Naval Architect to join its Compliance Department. Producing a range of performance craft up to 150ft in length, this longstanding member of UK boat manufacturing must adhere to a wealth of international governance when producing their craft.
Working within the busy Naval Architecture and Development offices, your role will be varied and see you work across all manufacturing departments, producing and collating the required documents to then be forwarded on to the various compliances bodies.
You'll have eyes on all manner of design works, visit lineside and join various internal meetings in order to carry out your role, showing clear understanding of the entire build process, noting and advising on areas that may fall foul of regulation.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate in Naval Architecture or possess a strong classification understanding, with experience working with the likes of RINA, MCA and RCD within a production boatbuilding environment. You'll have a keen passion to work towards Chartered status and possess strong experience with Maxsurf and NX. Ideally you'll have gained some experience working within a production boatbuilder and be keen to further your career with a growing brand.
