Mechanical Design Engineer – Contract
Fairline Yachts are one of the fastest growing boatbuilders in the UK following their re-birth in 2016! Launching a range of new yachts, alongside two key design and engineering partners, the brand has experienced a fantastic year that has seen recent announcement of a further manufacturing facility.
In order to continue to drive the brand forwards, a number of requirements have been identified. One such need falls with a Contract Design Engineer, with a view to covering the fabrications and structures side of the business, creating frames and jigs for moulds and other construction requirements within the business.
Ideally you'll have gained experience working in either construction or a similar marine setup, working to engineer and create drawings for frameworks, jigs, tooling and various other metalwork included in the build of a luxury yacht. Degree trained or similar, you'll understanding fabrication and metalwork and be able to advise on suitable solutions to best improve the ways in which Fairline manufacture.
This position is a contract role, based from their main facilities in Oundle, Northants. Initially for a period of 8-12 weeks with extension. In order to be considered for this role you will need to be registered as a Limited business or work through an Umbrella service provider.

Salary will be paid by means of hourly rate, the be paid weekly. This will be discussed on application
