Furniture Production Engineer
Based on the South Coast of the UK, Sunseeker International produce some of the most breathtaking yachts on the luxury market.
With a range that spans 48-155ft in length, the brand produces all of its craft from its main manufacturing facilities across Dorset.
In order to continue to remain competitive within the market, Sunseeker are constantly reviewing the ways in which they produce furniture on-site in order to economise the production process.
Working alongside the Interior Designer, the Furniture Production Engineer will be responsible for taking initial designs and assessing them for production. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out:
– Drawing Review – assess designs and suggest build methods that could streamline and cut process cost and time.
– Manufacturing Assessment – On approving drawings, looking at how best to manufacture and the styles that could work. Furniture is built using CAD-CAM Software
– Quality Control – After ensuring that the above is correctly implimented, ensuring that quality remains of a high standard and that fit and finish will remain straightforward and of an excellent level.
As a person, you will have come from a background of volume furniture manufacturing within the luxury sector, be this aerospace, marine, shop or hotel fitting. You'll be used to working between design and production departments to improve processes and be well versed with CAD-CAM software systems.
