Member and Support Services Director
The UK's Leisure Marine sector is one of the genuine stars of the UK economy, driving innovation globally. Accounting for £2.9 billon of revenue and over 1550 businesses the BMF seeks to champion best practice and support the sector. Providing a broad range of services and advice, the BMF aims to showcase the industry, encouraging the most up to date technical, environmental and commercial initiatives to keep the UK at the forefront of a global market. The BMF also acts as the public voice of the sector, keeping the industry's interests at the forefront of government and the media.

Reporting to the Executive Director, leading a small team, the successful candidate will lead the BMF's delivery of its core membership services. In particular you will be responsible for ensuring that the industry embraces and delivers the technical requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive and tackles the challenges and opportunities that the environmental agenda presents. As the guardian of best practice, you will make certain that, the BMF can advise on today's and tomorrow's industry challenges.

With a background in naval architecture or marine engineering, you will have a detailed understanding of the technical, manufacturing and commercial drivers of the sector. A seasoned business professional with leadership credentials, you be a strong communicator who will have the flexibility of mind to work successfully with stakeholders across the industry and government. Passion for the leisure marine sector is a pre-requisite.

SALARY

Salary to £60,000 with benefits
