Our client is an exciting new company which has been recently formed that offers a range of quality high performance foul weather clothing designed for sailing as well as a number of other activities.

They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced marine sales professional to join them in the role of Sales and Marketing manager, overseeing all sales and marketing activities around the UK and beyond.

Some duties and responsibilities will be:

- To produce sales figures in line with budget expectations

- Attend, a monthly management review of sales at the companies offices, and attend weekly conference calls/meetings to discuss the previous weeks activities, and forward weeks activities.

- Set up and control the marketing functions of the company, laid down by the board of directors

- Promote and sell the range of products.
- Attend, and manage the company’s stands at world boat shows.

- Visit on a regular basis the export markets of the company.

- Expand our client’s presence in the yacht racing fraternity in the UK, and overseas.

- Provide a weekly written sales and marketing report, coupled with a monthly sales report as part of the monthly operations review.

Candidates will ideally have a marketing degree with a Minimum of 5 years sales & marketing experience within the marine industry. Experience in controlling export sales, and domestic sales. Candidates will also preferably have experience and contacts in yacht racing as well as contacts with marine industry distributors.

SALARY

£30,000 + Commission + Benefits.
