JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Client is the market leading composite standing rigging manufacturer in this rapidly expanding market. This pioneering company has developed the product in the grandprix race sector and is now in the process of rolling out the technology to the Superyacht market and the broader race/cruise markets.

As the market for composite rigging continues to grow, so the number of relationships that must be managed to ensure that our customers receive a high level of service grows exponentially. Doing this effectively requires working through multiple channels with a cross section of trade partners, including mast manufacturers, project managers, sail makers, yards, agents and distributors.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual with a solid design / engineering background and capable of communicating effectively with professional sailors on the design / development of their rigging systems. You will be an experienced technical sales person, preferably with a sailing / marine background, used to forming and maintaining strong sales / service relationships across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities


 -Be the main sales contact for a number of regional or sector trade partners
 -Be responsible for managing these relationships to maximise sales and margin
 -Develop the processes / tools required to optimise trade partner relationships
 -Maintain our market intelligence through our trade relationships
 -Identify and target new relationships within the context of the FF go to market strategy
 -Achieve specified annual sales and margin targets
 -Handle sales negotiations

Key Requirements

 -An experienced technical sales professional
 -Experience of delivering sales growth through managing multiple trade relationships
 -Has worked with / implemented CRM tools (as a minimum: lead, opportunity management and reporting)

Qualities

 -Energetic, dynamic
 -Design / engineering, marine industry background
 -Preferably a sailor
 -Computer Literate (inc CAD)
 -Travel essential
 -Preferably EU passport
 -Fluent English – one other language preferable
