JOB DESCRIPTION

Understand the development schedule of the current Sailing Schools and their staff. Assisting the Chief Instructor and Training Team in improving teaching standards within the centres.

Deliver high quality instruction following the National Sailing and Powerboating Syllabus.

Responsible for helping the training and development of Instructors in particular areas :
-
High standards of communication/language and customer service
-
Operational Efficiency of working in a busy sailing school
-
Provide consistent, high quality tuition to all customers
-
Instilling value in the centre kit, ensuring equipment is correctly maintained and looked after respectfully by staff as well as customers.

Maintain and contextualise the Operating Procedures for all members of the existing team, which are specific for Watersports, Sailing and Powerboating.

Encourage an understanding among the staff of the importance of striving for high level feedback and promoting repeat business to the project.

To understand the various projects that is engaged in, be aware of products that are available through and be able to advise existing and potential customers about them.

To represent in a professional positive manner ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
Skills & Attributes:
-
At least 2 years experience as a Qualified Senior Dinghy Instructor (RYA or equivalent) working in a commercial sailing operation teaching adults and children.

Preferably a qualified Powerboat Instructor (RYA or equivalent).

Proven record as a team player but also Independent self-starter that will enjoy having his or her own autonomy.

Sensitivity to and tolerance of cultural differences.
