Group Marketing Manager
Reporting to:  Group Managing Director

Overview of the Role

The Ancasta Group consists of:

1. Ancasta International Boat Sales: sales of new and used boats, both power and sail across a European network of 18 offices.

2. Hamble Yacht Services: a well established full service yacht repair and refit facility with a world wide reputation accrued from providing a professional service for yachts, cruising and racing and motorboats alike.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Overall responsibility for reporting to the Board on the strategic direction of the Group's marketing activity.
  • Responsibility for creating and implementing the Group's marketing plans and schedules.
  • Management of multiple budgets.
  • Responsible for 2 members of staff (Web Content Copywriter and a Graphic Designer).
  • Lead on initiatives that increase traffic to the Group's websites and seek to constantly improve leads generated by the Group's web presence.
  • Act as the brand guardian and ensure that all marketing activities conform to brand guidelines.
  • Create marketing campaigns that use the full marketing mix and satisfy the requirements of multiple sales departments.
  • Responsibility for managing the Group's events calendar.
  • Work with IT and Web Agency to push forward the development of the Group's websites.
  • Implement CRM communications that target segments of the Group's customer database.
  • Responsibility for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Constant attention to ROI of the marketing budget.
Skills / Experience required:
  • Degree Educated
  • Proven track record of marketing within the retail, leisure or marine industry
  • Exhibition & event management experience
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience of managing and leading a creative team
  • Strong background in digital marketing and website development
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience of CRM
  • Knowledge of the marine industry would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite for this position.
