JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is currently looking for an individual to join their project team as a Design Engineer focusing on the generation of a 3D model and associated production drawings.​ 

For the right candidate this offers a fantastic opportunity to be involved as part of a team refurbishing a luxury motor yacht.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Principal Naval Architect your main responsibilities will be to:

• Create an accurate and detailed 3D CAD model of the ship;
• Generate production drawings suitable for manufacture;
• Maintain configuration control of the drawing database;
• Assist in the production of guidance documents;
  

Characteristics and Experience

You will have a strong background in 3D CAD modeling using Autodesk Inventor.​

Operating within a small team you will take a pro-active and constructive approach to ensure the effective delivery of engineering.​

Ideally you will have experience in a ship refit or shipbuilding environment although candidates from other engineering backgrounds will be considered on merit.​

Ideally you will have experience of working with classification societies and /​ or regulatory bodies.​

SALARY 

£35,000pa - £37,000pa
