JOB DESCRIPTION

To manage the retail activity of the Sailing Club to include the Chandlery and Shop, the sale of second hand school equipment, the brokerage of dinghies and windsurf equipment, and the provision of other services to Club members

.To provide a chandlery service to Members and visitors through the stocking of sailing and windsurfing parts, accessories and clothing

.To manage the chandlery business of the Sailing Club in such a way to maximise income and profit and to minimise stock

.To provide an on demand ordering system for all and any chandlery items and clothing for Club members and visitors

.To sell all Club and Sailing School second hand equipment in such a way to maximise income and reduce the length of time stock is held. To supervise the repairs and renovation of any such equipment prior to sale

.To provide a repair service to Club members and the sailing school to include sail and boat repairs

.To manage the purchasing of dinghy and windsurfing accessories for the Club and the Sailing School

.To market the chandlery to Club members, the sailing community and the local area

.To manage the relationship with suppliers

.To provide regular and meaningful management and accounting reports to the Club Secretary

. To manage and reconcile the cash, credit card and cheque income for the Chandlery
