JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Publications Manager, the Commercial Manager will manage and develop the commercial aspects of RYA publications by negotiating distribution deals, promoting sales and developing new income streams. Supported by the Publications Administrator, they will set up and maintain a Sales Reporting System, manage the accounts and maximise profitable sales.
 
The successful candidate will also assist the Training Manager to increase student participation on RYA training courses, leading to increased sales of related publications.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of, and interest in, the marine industry. They will have a demonstrable track record in sales with a proven ability to grow turnover. They will be an outstanding negotiator, committed to getting the job done and closing the deal.

This role will involve regular travel throughout the UK and occasional overseas trips, so flexibility is essential. A car, mobile phone and laptop computer will be provided.

SALARY

Salary £32,460 pa, rising to £36,070. Range of benefits including free parking, pension scheme, free life insurance, 25 days annual leave plus public holidays. 35 hours per week.
