JOB LOCATION JOB TITLE Charter Management Assistant JOB REF MR-ADM-SA-MKPR-MAN-109286 CLOSING DATE 12th January 2011 JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is one of the leading global superyacht brokerages. They have an exciting opening for a Charter Management Assistant to be based at their London office. The Charter Management Department act as Central Agents for a fleet of around 80 large motor and sailing yachts ranging from 35m to 95m. The department’s objective is to provide a comprehensive, efficient and informed service to yacht owners, charter brokers and yacht Captains. The position of Charter Management Assistant is to provide general administrative support to the Charter Managers. Main job responsibilities will include: - Administrative assistance to the department to include general correspondence, enquiries, bookings, management of client and yacht files
- Administration including updating the Charter Management fleet and news items
- Assist with marketing including the production of circulars, mailings, broker updates, brochure distribution and mailings
- Creating electronic yacht brochures for the Charter Management Fleet
- The liaison with yacht captains and other crew members (as necessary) of Central Agency yachts
- Assisting with the co-ordination of the annual charter accounts for yacht owners as well as monthly reports in due course
- Assist with the organisation of the department’s participation at selected yachts shows
- The organisation of business travel arrangements
- The taking of minutes at departmental meetings
- Assist with special projects and events as required
Personal Requirements The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following personal qualities: Essential - Good spoken and written English
- A proven ability to use Microsoft Office products, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop
- Attention to detail, and conscientiousness to record and capture information accurately
- Confidence to communicate clearly and with authority
- Capability to work independently and take initiative
Desirable (but not essential) - Knowledge and use of Microsoft CRM, or an alternative customer relationship management tool
- A working knowledge of French would be an asset
- An interest in yachting / sailing or boats in general
