JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the company's products both existing and new.  The role will be responsible for ensuring that both existing and new products are properly and clearly defined, priced, promoted and managed so that they meet a clear market need and maximise their lifetime value, profitability and competitive appeal to clients.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering, marketing or business administration- related degree and broad electronics experience.  In addition, you would benefit from having at least 5 years' experience in product management, and experience in the marine industry would be considered an advantage, although not necessary.

Key responsibilities for the position include:

• Definition of the product roadmap and strategy
• Being an expert with respect to the competition
• Developing the core positioning and messaging for the product
• Preparation and presentation of business case analyses for new  product opportunities
• The monitoring of web publications, trade shows, and the development of relationships with key industry contacts/partners relating to technology/cost/feature/knowledge and trend awareness
• Lifestyle management of product through coordination and repositioning of the product segments with regard to new introductions and end of life products
  

SALARY 

The salary is negotiable depending on experience but is likely to be in the region of £36,000 - £42,000, and all interested applicants are invited to apply, by sending a CV and accompanying letter.
