JOB DESCRIPTION

 

As vessel capabilities and requirements expand, the design team needs additional support and structuring.  The full time Designer will work with the Owner Care Manager to produce design information for current production and future sales.

The role will include:

• Convert owner specifications for each project into Production Documents and drawings
• Producing 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models of craft and components showing engineering and construction detail
• Review build specifications, develop equipment specifications, review and understand vessel systems and components

The candidate will require the following skills:

• Experienced in small craft design and operation, particularly in commercial rules and regulations would be beneficial
• Highly proficient in 2D and 3D CAD, particularly SolidWorks (we can provide Solidworks training for the right candidate with CAD knowledge)
• Proficient in other business programs, for example MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
• Experience working within a fast paced production driven design office and therefore understand the need to maintain deadlines and prioritise completion of design tasks
• Proficiency in imaging packages would be a benefit, for example Photoshop
• Ideally the candidate will show a combination of experience in design and production combined with design qualifications.
