JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a leading Yacht Manufacturer on the South coast. Due to rapid growth and future model range expansion there is now an urgent requirement for expanding the Super Yacht Warranty and Technical Support team within the Warranty Department.  

The position demands a highly self-motivated, versatile person, with solid knowledge of large motor yacht construction, build practices and systems.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Warranty and technical communications with distributors and customers for model lengths over 30 metres
  • Co-ordinating warranty repairs and also when necessary retail repairs
  • Ensuring compliance with company warranty procedures and practices
  • Active personal involvement in formal and informal quality feedback loops
  • Technical support to questions from distributors, owners, Captains and crew
  • Ensuring personal knowledge of vessels is kept detailed and up to date

Experience/Skills Required:
  • Technical knowledge of large motor yachts of more than 70 feet in length and ideally some experience of Super Yachts in aspects of design, build, class certification, at sea and dock operations
  • Proven track record of communicating successfully and consistently with customers and distributors of large motor yachts
  • Diplomacy and tact in dealing with high pressure situations with customers
  • Ability to work independently when required with little direct guidance, but to be a highly supportive member of a team of individuals when required
  • Flexibility of personal working to suit needs of customers and distributors including foreign travel when required, although work is mainly office based
  • Good all round education with ability to communicate professionally and calmly internally and externally, verbal and written
  • Professional qualifications in a discipline directly related to large motor yachts or Super Yachts will be an advantage
  • Proven success in dealing with multiple projects and organising work predominantly in foreign countries
  • Experience of working with SAP (or similar system), Word, Excel and not afraid of adapting to new software systems when required
