JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a world-leading, internationally recognised organisation manufacturing luxury Motoryachts.  They are undergoing rapid change with ongoing success dependent on the ability to drive through performance and service improvement.

Our client wish to develop and improve the process by which their distributor network procure warranty and spare parts, in order to allow the search, order and tracking of deliveries, using modern technology, systems and procedures. This development is necessary to provide a platform so that they can ultimately become class leader in parts services.

The role of Parts Team Supervisor will not only oversee the day to day efficient and professional management of the Warranty Department parts operations (spares and warranty) but will also be tasked with delivering the necessary team and function development under the direction of the Warranty Manager.

Essential Experience/Skills Required
  • Proven track record of leading a team of parts personnel   
  • Professional and articulate in both written and verbal communications
  • Diplomatic yet with ability to be firm but fair when dealing with customer, distributor and internal matters of delicacy and dispute resolution
  • Ability to prove commercial awareness and responsibility for tracking sales and debtors whilst building turnover
  • Direct experience of managing and ideally developing an on-line parts catalogue, ordering and tracking system
  • Required to be self motivated with a tenacious attitude to resolving problems, of micro and macro scale
  • Previous experience of supply chain within the production of complex, large scale and often customised product lines as well standardised production
  • Confident working within and gaining full advantages of modern ERP systems and their reporting functions
  • Ability to set and monitor KPI’s
  • Literate in IT systems of Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet/Extranet
  • A leader by example, comfortable working at coal face with team during high work flow periods as well as supervising overall operations
Advantageous Experience/Skills
  • Experience of working with a global distributor network
  • Ability to present strategies to groups both internally and externally
  • Experience of working with SAP
  • Proven success within a marine based industry
