Marine Careers Seminars Marine Resources have joined forces with newly formed company run by Hugh Styles and David Lush ‘Time on the Water’ to offer a number of unique seminars aimed specifically at people wanting a career in the marine industry. The seminars titled ‘Make your Passion your Profession’ are aimed at a number of target groups which include, People wanting a career change into the Marine Industry, Recent Graduates, School Leavers, and the Unemployed wanting to join or return to work in the Marine Industry.The seminars based from Pelican Racing in Cowes, Isle of Wight consist of a number of talks from Industry Professionals, Marine Recruitment Consultants, Government Education Advisors and Olympic/Professional Sailors. These talks are followed by one to one workshops covering CV writing advice, interview techniques and individual marine career advice. Whilst you wait for your turn in the workshops you get the opportunity to go sailing in Pelican Racing SB3’s with Olympic or Professional sailors and Industry Experts where you can ask questions about the industry in an informal setting, whilst blasting round the Solent!The first of the seminars is planned for the 1st October 2010 and costs just £100 + VAT. The price includes a Return Red Jet ferry ticket to Cowes and lunch.James Ward, Managing Director at Marine Resources said ‘These seminars are a great way for people to find out first hand from a number of experts everything they need to know about getting a great job within the marine industry, whilst having a lot of fun at the same time.
