JOB DESCRIPTION

The main objective of the role is to assist in the administration and document control with the issue of drawings which primarily cover drawings raised by the Design Office, but will also cover drawings and issuing documents raised by other departments.  Both a hard copy issue to Production and an electronic link to the drawing register on SAP are required.

The following duties will need to be fulfilled in order to facilitate this requirement, which will have to be achieved in a conscientious and timely manner whilst paying attention to detail.

• Be able to communicate with all areas of Production to ensure their drawing requirements are met and that the current issues are received in a timely manner.
• To ensure the Drawing Issue Procedure is adhered to regarding drawing issue and be affective in raising awareness to the originator of shortfalls.
• Update and maintain Design drawing data within SAP.
• Check and continually maintain the drawing register within SAP.
• Develop a working knowledge of SAP and the drawing register to be able to support other employees in navigating the SAP drawing register for specific drawings.

This position will be based in the Design Office and will involve the use of the following software:
Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD 2006, Adobe Acrobat, Lotus Notes, SAP

A basic understanding of SAP and AutoCAD is necessary for this role.

The position will develop into one which is responsible for the issue of all drawings across all of the sites and departments.

SALARY 

£18,000 – £22,000 pa
