JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Main responsibilities will be:

• Initiating in house continuity and prestart checks.
• Contribute to design where appropriate to ensure best engineering principles are followed.
• Initiating start up of engineering items to the procedures of the manufactures and Yard. Recognizing any Class/Flag State requirements.
• Final commissioning of engineering items to the satisfaction of the client and authorizing bodies.
• Hands on engineering as required to demonstrate requirements to Yard mechanics/technicians/engineers.
• Writing engineering commissioning procedures and plans.
• Working closely with commissioning Captain; engineering departments and project manager.
• Working environments will be mainly shop floor and at sea for trials.
• Overseas visits will be required as necessary to assist in auditing international engineering suppliers.
• Overseas work may also be necessary to attend warranty issues on behalf of
  
• Office and equipment will be provided.
• Engineering types will include Mechanical; Systems; and in some cases electrical.
