JOB LOCATION JOB TITLE Assistant Marine Superintendent - VACANCY CLOSED JOB REF CLOSING DATE VACANCY CLOSED JOB DESCRIPTION Our Client is a multi-million pound terminal based in Wales supplying clean and reliable energy to the UK. The role will assist the Marine Superintendent during the high shipping workload periods in conducting the compatibility studies and sharing the supervision of ship unloading operations. Ideal candidate would have the experience in marine terminal operations in LNG, Oil and Gas; You will also assist the Operations Engineer in the day to day running of the plant and helping with Terminal Operating Procedures, Issuing of the Permit to Work, Risk assessments and Competency Assessment of the Terminal Operators. You will have a NVQ 3 in Business Administration/equivalent, clear evidence of relevant experience in a similar role together with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Key Responsibilities: - To assist the Marine Superintendent during the high shipping workload periods in conducting the compatibility studies and sharing the supervision of ship unloading operations with the Marine Superintendent
- Assist the Operations Engineer in day to day running of the plant and help with terminal operating procedures, issuing of the permit to work, risk assessments and competency assessment of the Terminal Operators
- The position is designated as the Deputy Port Facility Security Officer under the ISPS Code
- Assist Marine Superintendent in Management of Security
Requirement: - Competent in Marine Operations
- Competent in Terminal/ or Steam and Power Generation Operations
- Competent in Risk Assessments and Control of Work
- Ability to train jetty operators in Marine and LNGC carrier unloading operations
- Understanding of the Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality standards that are applied with a top tier COMAH installation
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to; Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Results orientated, with a commitment to quality and timely delivery
- Ability to motivate a team or work independently
